Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: September 2026
This page explains how to request deletion of data held by Kevanta (https://kevanta.in), and what happens when you do.
Option 1 - Delete from your account
If you can sign in:
- Sign in at https://kevanta.in.
- Go to Settings, then Account.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
Deleting individual contacts or campaigns instead? Open Contacts or Campaigns, select the records, and choose Delete.
Option 2 - Email us
If you cannot sign in, or you are an end user whose phone number was messaged through our platform by one of our customers, email privacy@kevanta.in with the subject "Data deletion request".
Include:
- The email address or WhatsApp phone number the data is associated with.
- Whether you want your entire account deleted, or only specific data.
We verify ownership before acting, so we may ask one follow-up question to confirm identity. We will not ask you for your password.
Option 3 - Remove Kevanta from your Facebook account
If you connected your WhatsApp Business Account via Facebook Login:
- Go to Facebook Settings, Apps and Websites.
- Find Kevanta in the list.
- Click Remove, and tick the option to delete the activity that Kevanta posted.
This revokes our access to your Meta data. To also delete what we already hold, follow Option 1 or Option 2 above.
What gets deleted
- Your account profile, login credentials and session data.
- Contacts, contact groups, custom fields and imported lists.
- Campaigns, templates, chatbot flows and their configuration.
- Message logs and delivery reports.
- Stored WhatsApp Business API credentials and access tokens.
- Uploaded media (logos, images, documents).
What we keep, and why
We retain a limited set of records where the law requires it:
- Invoices and payment records - kept for the statutory accounting and tax retention period.
- Security and abuse logs - kept in minimised form to prevent fraud and re-registration abuse.
These are never used for marketing and are deleted once their retention period ends.
Timeline
- We acknowledge your request within 72 hours.
- Deletion completes within 30 days of verification.
- Encrypted backups are purged on their normal rotation, within 90 days.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Export anything you need first.
A note for end users
If you received a WhatsApp message from a business using Kevanta, that business - not Kevanta - controls your contact details. We process them on their behalf. Contact the business directly for the fastest result, or email us at privacy@kevanta.in and we will route the request to them and delete what we hold.
